At this year’s Health Data Initiative Forum III, or Health Datapalooza, held in June in Washington, D.C, the Health IT Exchange had the chance to catch up with David Whitlinger, Executive Director of the New York eHealth Collaborative(NYeC). As NY state’s designated Regional Extension Center, NYeC plays a key role in assisting physicians, clinics, nursing homes and other health care providers in making the transition from paper-based to electronic health records (EHRs).
In the interview below, David sheds some light on the organization’s new Digital Health Accelerator program, an educational and stakeholder matchmaking initiative that is connecting providers and entrepreneurs for the proliferation of clinical data access and the facilitation of health information exchange.
